Exterior Protective Housing
Protects the condenser portion of the split system from the elements when installed outdoors. Exterior Condenser Housing is used with the Platinum Mini Split, Platinum Split Wall Mount and Platinum Split Fully Ducted. Features a Galvanized steel base and cabinet, hinged access for easy servicing and wind safety latch.
Built-In Active Humidity
The new Active Humidity system utilizes Intermittent Mist Injection technology which carefully measures the volume of moisture needed to raise the relative humidity within the cellar to an acceptable level. Simply connect a soft water source to the unit, install the humidistat and you are ready to go. This optional integrated system must be specified at the time of ordering of the unit. For cellars with cooling units already installed, customers can purchase the stand alone system which offers the same technology in a small, but effective, package.
Cold Weather Start Kit
This kit was designed exclusively for WhisperKOOL split systems where the condensing unit will be installed in extremely cold environments. Split systems are designed to be adaptable to almost any install, as the condensing unit can be located in a variety of locations such as a mechanical room, basement, back yard, or even a rooftop. WhisperKOOL split systems were designed to operate with the condensing unit exposed to temperatures between 20° F and 110° F. However, there are some areas in the country that may drop below 20° F. Due to these conditions WhisperKOOL designed the Cold Weather Start Kit.
The Cold Weather Start Kit will bypass the low pressure switch on startup and keep the pressure in the system high enough to operate correctly for environments as cold as -15° F.

WhisperKOOL Split System Limited Warranty
- A limited 2-year/5-year compressor warranty is offered with all self-contained cooling units at their date of purchase.
- A limited 2-year warranty is offered with all split systems. This warranty is not activated until the installation documentation has been returned by mail, fax, or email and approved by WhisperKOOL.
All warranty claims must be filed directly through VinoGrotto customer service (800.584.0960). We provide warranty repairs at our manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA or, with prior permission from WhisperKool™, by a licensed HVAC/R technician. In the event a unit is not reparable in the field, and is still under warranty, we will cover shipping costs (excluding customs fees and duties).
The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or beyond the control of WhisperKOOL, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and is not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, maintenance, installation, service/repair, or improper use.
